ECSC BOX – New session: 16 September – 25 October

As commented previously, each box will be now composed of 6 players maximum. The reasoning behind is for players to have enough time to play all matches and to be able to create similar level boxes – we have been noticing some differences between level in the same boxes in the past season.
We have tried our very best to accommodate all players according to the results and to the challenges communicated. We have also included new players –welcome !!!!- taking into account their checked squash level. Please do not only focus into new box compositions as they have been adjusted to real players level.

Squash Open Pétange – 20/21 September 2013

The Squash Club from Pétange is proud to announce that the registrations for our annual Open Tournament are now open! Visit our website and register at: www.squashpetange.lu / Tournament 2013 / Inscription. We would be pleased to welcome you at this event.

As we only have 3 courts, there will be only around 50 players. Ladies have the choice to take part to the general draw “mixte” (Men + Women), and / or to the “Ladies only” draw.

Don’t hesitate to spread the word to your squash-friends. There’s an interesting Prize-money. For those who live far from Pétange, there’s an hotel 300m from the club, the Threeland Hotel.

Participation fee : 25 EUR, to be paid cash on arrival.  Bar, pasta and other delicious meals available on Friday night and Saturday.
Registration before Wednesday, 18th of September, 17:00.

A new season is upon us!

Dear ECSC members,

A new season is upon us!

  1. The Club Nights will resume on Tuesday September 17 – 18:30.
    For any question, please contact the Club Nights responsible, Petr Lapka.
  2. The Box League will resume on Monday September 16.
    Players who played at least 1 match during the last session will be automatically included (see last session results).
    If you did not play any match last session or would like to join the box please contact Pedro Garcia and Kevin Vanden eeckhoudt.
  3. The Inter-société competition will resume on Tuesday September 10 – 20:00 with all 3 teams playing at home. This season, ECSC-Eurocontrol and ECSC2 continue to play in the first division while ECSC3 has been promoted to the 3rd division!

  4. The Inter-clubs competition will resume on Thursday September 5 for our 2nd team and on Thursday September 26 for our 1st team.
    ECSC1 and ECSC2 are respectively playing in the 4th league and the 7th league organised by the Ligue Francophone de squash (LFS).

  5. For Inter-clubs players only: In view of obtaining a medical certificate, the doctor M. Mayé will be present at the Winners on Saturdays September 7 and 14 from 10:00 to 12:00.

So please do not forget to return me your ECSC Membership form 2013-2014 completed and pay your membership fee at the latest before 15th October 2013.
Please note that most of our club’s expenses occur during the first 2 months of the season and the cash flow is limited therefore please support your club with an on time membership payment.

LFS Interclubs – New squash season 2013-2014

The new Interclubs squash season is rapidly approaching, and for the 2nd team very rapidly.

Due to a couple of teams dropping out, the LFS has merged the 7,8,9th leagues to have two larger leagues which play more matches and so need to start earlier than usual.

  • ECSC2 is now in league 7, and so starts Thursday 5th September.
  • ECSC1 will start Thursday 26th September.
