An excellent evening for ECSC with both teams playing at home and both teams winning and reinforcing their hold on the top spot of their respective leagues. ECSC1 did particularly well against a strong NATO team to win 3-1, and ECSC2 a solid performance to win 4-0.

ECSC 2 had a great win against NATO 1 winning all 4 matches and 14 points to 4.
John and Kevin both came from the brink of defeat to win their match 3-2. Pedro and Artur played a solid match and won in straight sets.
ECSC 3, on the contrary lost 0-4 and 0-14 to the current leader of the league SOLVAY.
With the 2 top players of the team absent, all players fought out bravely but could not prevent their opponent to win in straight sets.
Last but not least, ECSC 1 put up a solid display against last year champion Belfius, winning 3-1 and a good 13 points to 4.

Only ECSC1 played on the 16th with a convincing 3-1 win against Castle Reflet Nature to go top of the league.
Markus, Enrique and Mitch all had good wins, with Fred unluckily having to stop with a pulled muscle in the 2nd game when leading 1-0.

For its 1st match of the play-off, ECSC 1 had a draw against Namur 1. John and Pedro won agaisnt higher ranked opponents, while Fred and Enrique lost in hard fought matches.
ECSC 2 won 4-0 against Winner’s Ken sous-doués, to go to the top of the league. Mitch, Artur, Rob and Jean-Luc all winning, with Artur and Rob showing true grit to come back from being behind to win 3-2.
There is normally no match on the 16th Jan due to the Belgium Juniors, but ECSC1 will use the opportunity play their home match from the 30th January ahead of schedule.

On 17 December ECSC 3 lost to ING 2 at the Castle. Christof and Paul both put up a great fight but eventually lost in 5 sets. On the other hand Jaime lost in 4 but Pierre won 3-2. Overall unlucky and with a lot of sweat.
ECSC 2 recorded their first loss of the season losing 1-3 and 5 points to 12 against a very strong Vinalgros team. A company with a single employee but with some real good players.
Next matches on 21 January 20:00 at home for all teams for some important matches.
ECSC2 cruised to an easy victory against Symbio 4 with Mitch and Kevin winning in straight sets and John and Artur losing 1 set against probably the tougher opponents of the evening.
This win should ensure that ECSC2 will compete in the play-offs for a place in the upper division.
So we approach the end of the Year and the end of the first half of the season.
On Sunday 15 December, ECSC1 has a great win in Liege, 1-3 against Squash 22, which has squeeze them into the promotion play-offs by the skin of their teeth (# games won).
Last Thursday 12 December, ECSC2 decided they wanted to keep the excitement going to the last match losing 3-1 at Mons Aramis. So they will need a good win this week to guarantee a promotion play-off place.
