Interclub Results – 6th Nov 2014
Mixed results last week, ECSC 1 lost 0-4 away to the league leaders but stay in 4th spot, ESCS 2 had a great 3-1 win, to move them to within 1 point of the promotion play-offs also 4th, and an understrength ECSC 3 lost 1-3, with just the Captain Nick saving the honour in a titanic 5 setter, to remain 5th.

Intersoc – 5th round results
ECSC 2, with only 3 players, managed a draw against AG Insurance 1, 7 points to 11.
Pedro won in 5 sets. John came from the brink of defeat, fending off a match point, to also win in 5 sets. Jaime lost to a better #3 player in straight sets.
ECSC 3 was playing against GDF SUEZ 2 and unfortunately lost all matches, 4 points to 14.
Simon fought hard and got 2 sets while Nick and Edwin both managed to grab a set each. Paul lost in straight sets.

Interclubs Results – 16th October 2014
Mixed fortunes again last week, ECSC 1 lost 1-3, with just Mitch beating a lower ranked opponent, leaving them in 4th, just below the promotion zone. ECSC 2 hard fought 2-2 draw with Pedro & John winning, and Simon & Tomaz both going close at 2-3, also leaving them in 4th. ECSC 3 had their first win of the season 3-1, Nick & Kevin winning 3-0, Jean-Luc a battling 3-2 win, and Rob who is still not quite fully fit losing 0-3, to move off the bottom into 5th place with a game in hand.

Belgian Junior Open 2014 – 31 Oct. to 2 Nov. 2014 – Winner’s & Castle
The Belgian Junior Open will take place from Friday 31 Oct. to Sunday 2 Nov. at Winners and Castle Club.
The bad news is that all courts at Winners will be reserved for the competition. Therefore there will be no possibility for us to play any game during these 3 days.
The good news is that there will be some incredible matches to watch.
FSL Individual National Championship 2014
The National Luxembourgish Championship Individual (FSL) 2014 will take place November 7 and 8 in Top Squash Sandweiler.
It will begin on Friday evening at 18:30 and will continue on Saturday from 11:30 am to about 19h, depending on the number of participants.
Each player will have a minimum of 3 games. Open to all, including unlicensed.
New starting time for the club nights
In order to respond to the high number of participants, the Club Nights will start on 2 courts from 18:00 until 20:00 as of 21 October 2014.
The 3rd court available continues to begin at 18:30.

Intersoc – 4th round results
ECSC 2, with only 3 players, lost heavily to ING 1, 1 point to 14.
It was mission imposible for John against an A ranked player. Kevin had a close match against the player “with the baseball cap” but eventually lost 1-3. Finally Nick had no chance against too strong player and lost in straight sets.
ECSC 3 had a draw against a good Bridgestone team.
Simon lost in straight sets against a very good #1 player. Edwin put up a great fight but eventually lost 1-3 to a more experienced player.
On the other hand Petr won his match brillantly 3-1 and Maximilien got his 1st win of the season with a hard fought 3-2 victory. Well done!
